A. CPI stands for Collateral Protection Insurance. If you have a vehicle loan through ITCU, it's how we protect our interests if you don’t provide sufficient proof of insurance that covers the vehicle.
A fee for CPI will be added to your loan and will likely increase your monthly payment. To avoid this from happening, you must provide adequate insurance coverage and the policy must show InTouch Credit Union as the lienholder. (For questions or assistance, please Contact Us.)
A. Yes, you have multiple options to pay an ITCU loan or credit card payment with an account at ITCU or another bank. One of the easiest and securest ways is to log into Digital Banking and either use Move Money or My Cards (credit cards only) to make the payment. Under Move Money, Transfer Money is the best option for making reoccurring payments from another financial institution. However, you'll need to first set up the account to pay from. To do that, click on Move Money, then Transfer Money, then Add Account. Follow the prompts to complete set up. When ready to make a payment, click on Move Money, then Transfer Money and then choose the account you just set up to pay from in the drop-down menu. For one-time payments, you can also use the Pay Loan w/Non-ITCU Account option to pay with a debit card or an electronic transfer from another financial institution - it's also found under Move Money.
My Cards provides another way to make payments from another account to your ITCU credit card. You can choose to do a one-time payment or set up automatic, reoccurring payments. However, just like transfers under Move Money, you'll have to set up the new bank account, first. Click on My Cards and choose the "Make a Payment" button. Click on Manage Payment Account and then follow the prompts to add the new account. Once completed you'll see it as one of your Account options to pay from when you're ready to make a payment. Finally, you can always mail a payment to ITCU but keep in mind that mail delays are always a possibility. The mailing address is PO Box 250169, Plano, TX 75025-0169. Express Pay is also an option for one-time loan payments if you do not wish to use Digital banking.
