What Kind of Changes?

Momentum One, Momentum Plus and Prime Checking accounts will soon be enjoying the following changes:

But the fee changes are just for starters when it comes to checking rewards from ITCU. You'll still be able to get paid up to two days early with your direct deposit, access fraud prevention and resolution support, enroll in the free uChoose Rewards®1 platform and earn points for every purchase made with your ITCU debit card, and more!

(Our High-Yield and Value Checking accounts will also see a name change in February 2026 to High-Yield Rewards Checking and Value Rewards Checking.)

What Do I Need to Do?

Almost nothing! If you currently have a Momentum One, Momentum Plus or Prime Checking account with ITCU, our team will handle everything except enrollment in uChoose Rewards - you'll need to do that in My Cards in Digital Banking. You'll begin seeing the new checking account name on your February 2026 monthly statement. Any changes to monthly fees will also happen automatically.

You'll want to watch this page, as well as the email inbox and physical mailbox we have on-file for you, as we'll be issuing frequent communications to our members to keep you all in the loop.

When Will these Changes Take Place?

The checking account name changes and rolling Momentum One, Momentum Plus and Prime Checking into Prime Rewards Checking is currently scheduled to be completed in early February. Please watch this site (and your inbox) for any new information!

Q. So, why did "Rewards" get added to my checking account type?

A. It’s more than a name change; it’s an awesome benefit very few other financial institutions provide -  and it’s FREE to you! Adding “Rewards” reminds accountholders that points can be earned for purchase transactions and redeemed for cash back, paying for purchases at Amazon and more! Enrollment is required and can be done via My Cards in Digital Banking.

Q. Why the change?

A. It's our way of rewarding our members and for thanking them to allow us to work for them and their financial well-being. We literally could not do this without them, many of whom have been with ITCU for decades! With lower fees and the ability to take advantage of a free rewards program that lets members redeem points for cash back, pay for purchases on Amazon and much more, we are thrilled to be able to offer such exciting changes!

Q. If I have a Momentum One, Momentum Plus or Prime Checking account, how can I waive my monthly service fee going forward?

A. If you've got a combined average daily deposit and/or loan balance greater than, or equal to, $20,000, you won't incur a monthly fee!

Q. What are some of the other benefits Momentum One, Momentum Plus and Prime Checking members will be able to enjoy?

A. In addition to lowered fees for our Momentum Plus and Prime members, along with the ability for Momentum One/Plus members to newly waive their fees, many of the same benefits you've always enjoyed will be on offer.

You'll still be able to get paid up to two days early, enroll in Digital Banking, take advantage of the free uChoose Rewards program, get access to up to $10k Identity Theft Expense Reimbursement Coverage2, Fraud Resolution Services and Awareness alerts, and rely on cell phone protection plans (up to $800)2.

Q. What's going to change when it comes to Momentum One/Plus and Prime Checking benefits?

A. In exchange for lowering the monthly checking fee, providing a fee-waiving method across all three account types and increasing the cell phone protection, the least-utilized benefits will be removed for our current Momentum One, Momentum Plus and Prime Checking accountholders effective Sunday, March 1. Those include the former Credit File Monitoring and Credit Score and Report features being unavailable after Saturday, February 28.

However, they will be available for FREE within the Credit Sense service in Digital Banking! So, think of it as those benefits you've been using are now accessible through ITCU's 24/7 Digital Banking service!

Q. What about members with a High-Yield or Value Checking? Will they see any changes?

A. Our current High-Yield Checking and Value Checking members have been enjoying the benefits of these accounts for years, from being able to enjoy special CDs to having no monthly service fees. Those benefits are still available.

The only changes our High-Yield Checking and Value Checking members will see is a name change on their monthly statement starting in February 2026. That's when these accounts will be changed to High-Yield Rewards Checking and Value Rewards Checking; but the same benefits and perks you've enjoyed for years will not be changing.
